Benghazi is preparing to host the Libyan-Italian Economic Forum from June 24 to 27, organised jointly by the Libyan-Italian Chamber of Commerce in collaboration with the Reconstruction and Development Fund. This forum represents a pivotal opportunity to strengthen economic ties between the two nations.
According to the Italian agency “Nova,” Nicola Colicci, President of the Libyan-Italian Chamber of Commerce, anticipated the participation of up to 100 Italian companies active in various sectors, including infrastructure, healthcare, education, maritime and air logistics, and engineering and construction.
Nicola underscored the strategic importance of Italian companies’ presence in Libya, particularly as they face significant competition in the Libyan market from Turkish and Russian firms across various economic activities.
