As the grip tightens on the besieged Gaza Strip, the “Maghreb Steadfastness Convoy” has set off from the heart of the Grand Maghreb, a popular initiative seeking to breach not just the physical blockade but also the wall of silence. The convoy carries a humanitarian message that transcends geographical borders, articulating the pain of nations and the heartbeat of humanity.

Comprising dozens of buses and cars, and carrying over 1,500 enthusiastic participants, the convoy is set to move with courage and determination from Algeria, passing through Tunisia, then Libya (Tripoli, Misrata, Sirte, Benghazi, Tobruk), before entering Egypt’s Al-Salloum crossing on the 12th of this month. The convoy will then proceed to Cairo, heading towards the Rafah crossing on the 15th. Participants will wave the flags of Algeria, Tunisia, Libya, Morocco, Mauritania, and Palestine, chanting slogans that denounce Israeli aggression and expose the international community’s silence.

Organisers of the Maghreb Steadfastness Convoy, orchestrated by the “Joint Action Coordination for Palestine,” affirm that its objective extends beyond merely collecting donations and humanitarian aid. It aims to exert pressure and actively participate in international efforts to lift the siege on Gaza.

This convoy is not the end of the road, but rather the beginning of a message: that Gaza is not alone, and that the Arab pulse remains vibrant, rejecting injustice and resisting silence. All eyes remain fixed on Rafah, awaiting the moment when hope will cross into the heart of Palestine.
