Libya’s Anti-Illegal Migration Agency continues its efforts to enforce the law and regulate the status of migrants by carrying out ongoing repatriation operations for those violating entry or residency conditions within Libyan territory.
As part of these efforts, the agency this week successfully repatriated 171 undocumented migrants of Egyptian nationality via the Amsaad land port. These operations involved several branches and offices affiliated with the Anti-Illegal Migration Agency.
Key Repatriation Operations:
* Greater Benghazi Branch: Oversee the repatriation of 73 undocumented Egyptian migrants, attended by the head of the Anti-Illegal Migration Agency and the head of the Greater Benghazi branch.
* Tobruk Branch: Facilitated the repatriation of 68 undocumented Egyptian migrants.


* Al-Bayda Office: Recorded the repatriation of 30 undocumented Egyptian migrants.
The repatriation operations included migrants apprehended during security campaigns conducted by the agency, in addition to cases for which deportation orders from Libyan territory had been issued.
The Anti-Illegal Migration Agency affirmed that repatriation operations are conducted in accordance with prevailing legal procedures and in full coordination with relevant authorities, as part of its continuous endeavour to apprehend violators and regulate migration in line with national sovereignty and Libyan laws.
