Halima Ibrahim, the Justice Minister in the Government of National Unity, has discussed the issue of prisoners in both countries with Charles Saliba, Malta’s Ambassador to Libya.

During their meeting on Wednesday, both sides explored ways to facilitate the transfer of these detainees to serve their remaining sentences in their home countries. The discussion also covered enhancing judicial cooperation between Libya and Malta.

It is worth noting that the justice ministry has previously discussed the issue of Libyan prisoners abroad with several other nations to ensure their rights are protected.
