Khalifa Abdel Sadiq, the acting oil and gas minister in the Government of National Unity, held a meeting in Tripoli on Wednesday with Turkey’s ambassador to Libya, Güven Begiç. The discussion focused on exploring opportunities for cooperation in various energy fields, including encouraging Turkish investments and facilitating the transfer of technical expertise.
The meeting also addressed the possibility of strengthening the partnership between Libya’s oil ministry and the Turkish Petroleum Corporation (TAPO), as part of Libya’s efforts to activate collaboration with foreign partners in the energy sector.
In a statement, the ministry said the meeting coincided with Libya offering 22 new exploration blocks to leading international companies, a move aimed at attracting further foreign investment and expanding prospects for exploration and production
