On Sunday, Masoud Suleiman, the acting Chairman of the National Oil Corporation (NOC), met with Mostafa Ajaj, former Schlumberger Country Manager (Libya), and El-Menshawy Ahmed, Projects Manager at SLB, to discuss potential cooperation in the energy sector and joint ventures within Libya.
The meeting, held in Tripoli, explored Schlumberger’s possible contributions to developing oil reservoir research and providing Libyan entities with the necessary expertise.
Suleiman and Ajaj also addressed the importance of Schlumberger’s presence in the Obari oil region to expand the scope of projects in Libya’s oil and gas-rich south.
Both parties emphasized the significance of training national personnel and cadres in various field operations, particularly concerning submersible oil pumps, which are crucial for stable production operations.
