President Donald Trump has threatened Iran with new military strikes if it “does not immediately stop” attacks on Israel, according to statements quoted by Reuters news agency.
Trump stated unequivocally: “They must stop immediately, or they will be hit again.” He affirmed that the US military had already carried out an attack on Iranian nuclear sites, including the sensitive Fordow facility, a move described by observers as a dangerous and direct escalation amid rising tensions between Tehran and Tel Aviv.

This direct American intervention follows more than a week of Israeli strikes targeting Iranian air defences,
missile capabilities, and critical uranium enrichment facilities, in a clear attempt to weaken the Iran’s military and nuclear infrastructure.
Despite the noticeable escalation, Trump indicated to reporters on Friday that he was “not interested in sending ground troops to Iran,” confirming he would finalise his stance within two weeks, despite the accelerating pace of regional and international events.

Conversely, Iran’s Supreme Leader, Ali Khamenei, sternly warned that any American military strikes “would inflict irreparable damage” on the United States. Meanwhile, Ismail Baqai, the spokesperson for the Iranian foreign ministry, stated that “any American intervention would be a recipe for a full-scale and destructive war in the entire region.”
