ICC warrant prompts domestic inquiry
The activation of this lawsuit comes in light of an arrest warrant issued by Pre-Trial Chamber I of the ICC. In response, the Public Prosecution has begun examining the elements of the crimes stipulated in the warrant, while thoroughly investigating the facts previously addressed by the national judiciary. The aim is to ascertain the extent of their congruence with the crimes cited in the international arrest warrant.
The Public Prosecution issued a formal summons for the officer to appear, to which he complied for the first interrogation session held on April 28, 2025. During this session, he was informed of the alleged facts, and his responses and clarifications concerning them were duly recorded

Seeking ICC judicial assistance
Concurrently, the Public Prosecution has commenced gathering and completing information related to the case. The subsequent interrogation session has been postponed pending a response to a request for judicial assistance it intends to submit to the Office of the Prosecutor of the International Criminal Court. This request seeks to obtain evidence pertinent to the facts under prosecution and supporting documentation.
