Competing squads for the 2025 Africa Mini-Football Cup of Nations have begun arriving in Derna, the host city for the anticipated continental event, which is scheduled to kick off next Monday.
Among the first delegations to arrive was the Moroccan national team, which landed at Benina International Airport to a distinguished official reception. The Moroccan Ambassador to Libya and several sports personalities were in attendance, in an atmosphere reflecting the profound relations and spirit of Arab fraternity between the two countries.
Delegations from Mauritania, Chad, and Benin have also reached the city. Meanwhile, the remaining delegations are expected to arrive in the coming hours, coinciding with the initial waves of refereeing crews who will officiate the tournament matches.
Benghazi is witnessing intensive preparations to ensure the success of this continental event, which marks an important milestone in the development of mini-football in Africa and underscores Libya’s readiness to host major international championships.
