The Chief of Staff of Security Units, Lieutenant General Khaled Haftar, held a meeting today with the Head of the International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC) Mission in Libya, Yann Fridez. The encounter took place at the Presidency headquarters in Al-Rajma.
This meeting falls within the framework of enhancing cooperation and coordination between the Libyan security establishment and the ICRC, with a particular focus on humanitarian aspects and international humanitarian law.
Both sides discussed ways to support stability efforts and bolster various facets of cooperation on issues of mutual concern. They also deliberated on mechanisms for field coordination and facilitating the Mission’s work within Libyan territory, in alignment with applicable laws and regulations.
