The Kufra branch of Libya’s Agency to Combat Illegal Migration carried out a comprehensive deportation operation last Friday morning, expelling 700 Sudanese nationals. These individuals had been apprehended by the agency’s branches in the southeast and central regions of the country.

The deported cases included individuals confirmed to be suffering from serious infectious diseases such as hepatitis and AIDS, in addition to those caught in illegal migration and smuggling activities. Furthermore, some deportees had outstanding judicial rulings against them or were expelled for security reasons.

Branches from the southeast (specifically from Rabiana and Kufra) and the central region (from Ajdabiya and Sirte) participated in the operation. This action is part of the rigorous follow-up on directives from Major General Abdul Rahman Al-Ansari, the acting head of the Agency to Combat Illegal Migration. The entire operation was conducted under the supervision of Colonel Mohammed Ali Al-Fadil, head of the southeastern and central regional branches.

The head of the southeastern and central branches expressed his sincere gratitude and appreciation to all members of the participating branches, commending their significant efforts in accomplishing these security tasks that serve the nation and protect its security.
