Engineer Belgacem Haftar, Director General of the Libyan Development and Reconstruction Fund, has signed a series of strategic contracts with ALBAVVABA HIZMETLERI LIMITED SIRKETI. This move is part of the Fund’s ongoing efforts to develop the civil aviation sector and modernise navigation communication systems across several vital Libyan airports.
Projects to encompass seven Libyan airports
These contracts encompass the implementation of key projects aimed at installing and upgrading air navigation and air-to-ground communication systems at seven Libyan airports: Benghazi, Sabha, Sirte, Ubari, Al-Abraq, Martuba, and Tobruk.
Bolstering stability and development through aviation modernisation
The Fund asserts that this initiative is an integral part of its broader efforts to support overall stability and stimulate comprehensive development across various regions of Libya. The Fund aims to achieve this by enhancing the efficiency of the aviation sector and boosting its operational capacity, in line with established international standards in the field.
