A delegation of Libyan MPs, representing the Pan-African Parliament (PAP), took part in a plenary session of the ongoing African Parliament meetings in Johannesburg, South Africa, set to continue through the end of July.
Today’s session focused on strategies for financing the African Union and securing sustainable funding for its institutions. The Chair of the Standing Committee on Financial Affairs and Budget presented an overview of the challenges facing the budget process, as well as the framework used to develop the AU’s proposed 2026 budget.
The Libyan delegation includes Yusuf Al-Fakhri, a member of the Pan-African Parliament’s Presidency, alongside fellow MPs: Saleh Qalma, Abdelkader Yahia, Asmaa Al-Khouja, and Salem Qanan.
