The National Oil Corporation (NOC) announced Thursday that Libya’s crude oil production has surged back to 1.4 million barrels per day, the highest level recorded since February 2025.
According to data released by the corporation, the daily output reached 1.401 million barrels over the past 24 hours. Condensate production stood at 53,423 barrels, while natural gas output hit 2.566 billion cubic feet.
Acting NOC Chairman Masoud Suleiman has urged the Finance Ministry to release the oil sector’s allocated budget, citing the need to settle accumulated debts and ramp up production capacity.
The appeal comes amid growing concern over fiscal delays and their impact on Libya’s vital energy infrastructure.
