The Confederation of African Football (CAF) has revealed a new trophy design for the 2024 African Nations Championship, dedicated to locally based players. The unveiling took place during an official ceremony attended by celebrated African footballers, including Kenya’s Victor Wanyama, Uganda’s Denis Onyango, and Tanzania’s Mrisho Ngasa.
The redesigned trophy is part of a broader rebranding initiative ahead of the tournament’s next edition, which will be jointly hosted by Kenya, Uganda, and Tanzania from 2 to 30 August 2025.
According to CAF, the new design embodies Africa’s rich cultural heritage and serves as a symbol of unity and sporting excellence. The tournament continues to grow in stature as a vital platform for nurturing domestic talent and showcasing it across the continent
