Libya’s Children’s Parliament, under the Ministry of Social Affairs, took part in the second session of the fourth Arab Children’s Parliament, held in Sharjah, UAE, under the theme “Arab Child’s Cultural Identity Amid Global Challenges.”
The Libyan delegation was led by Secretary-General Khamees Milad Al-Fathali, alongside Parliament President Amira Tariq Al-Aaib from Al-Ajilat, and members Inji Abu Bakr Jad Al-Mola (Tobruk), Al-Harith Muftah Doshi (Misrata), and Faraj Omar Faraj Ali (Idri Al-Shati).

The session brought together 56 child parliamentarians from 14 Arab countries, including Egypt, Morocco, Saudi Arabia, and Palestine, in a week-long programme of workshops, field visits, and interactive panels aimed at fostering cultural awareness and civic engagement among Arab youth.

Discussions focused on the preservation of cultural identity in the face of rapid digital globalization, with participants exchanging ideas on language, heritage, and the role of children in shaping inclusive national narratives.
Libya’s participation, endorsed by Minister Wafaa Al-Kilani of the GNU, reflects a growing commitment to amplifying the voices of Libyan children in regional forums and empowering them to engage meaningfully in public discourse.
