Libya wrapped up its participation in the inaugural African School Games, held in Algeria, with a total of seven medals across taekwondo, equestrian, and basketball.
The taekwondo team finished fifth overall in the discipline and claimed the largest share, securing four medals, one silver and three bronze.
Mohamed Atayouh earned silver in the under-73kg category, while Ghina Nizar Belhaj (under-44kg), Ahmed Fathi (under-63kg), and Ali Al-Alwani (poomsae) each took bronze.
In equestrian events, Libya added two team medals. Hala Ben Hariz, Abdullah Al-Muhaishi, Abdulmuhaymin Al-Hattab, and Mohamed Ataya Allah, won silver.,
The endurance team, Fateh Abousta, Abdullah Trebel, Abdulwadoud Dabbaj, and Malek Laga, claimed bronze
The school basketball team contributed a final bronze after finishing third in the tournament.
With this tally, Libya concluded its first appearance at the continental event in competitive spirit, looking ahead to greater achievements in future editions.
