Esperance Sportive de Tunis has opened official negotiations to sign Malian forward Fily Traoré, currently playing for Libyan club Al-Souihli. The move comes after Traoré’s standout season in the Libyan Premier League, where he contributed to nearly 30 goals, making him one of the most prominent players of the current campaign.
Al-Souihli’s management has set a transfer fee of $2 million for the 23-year-old striker, who still has two years remaining on his contract.
In recent weeks, Traoré has received multiple offers from leading clubs, including Egypt’s Zamalek and Qatar’s Umm Salal. However, Esperance now appear to be the frontrunners to complete the deal.
