A delegation from Turkish airport construction giant TAV visited Tobruk Airport this week to conduct a comprehensive technical assessment, accompanied by engineers from Libya’s Development and Reconstruction Fund.
According to officials, the company is preparing to launch redevelopment works aimed at upgrading the airport to meet international standards. The project will include full-scale infrastructure improvements aligned with global aviation benchmarks.
The initiative forms part of Libya’s broader strategy to rehabilitate its civil aviation network, to boost air traffic, and support regional economic growth.
