Libya’s Administrative Centers Development Authority has assigned a committee to begin transferring the project file for the completion of the Al-Salam administrative complex in Asabaa municipality, in preparation for restarting the contracting process.
The municipality confirmed that the Prime Minister approved a proposal to allocate part of the housing units for administrative use, including four buildings designated to serve as a fully integrated complex housing several government departments.
Mayor Emad Al-Maqtouf called for the project file to be handed over to the Administrative Centers Authority, in line with the municipality’s technical plans. These include completing three buildings as administrative units comprising 24 offices, and converting one building into a municipal hotel with a training hall, large meeting room, restaurant, hospitality area, and residential units. A shared parking area will be constructed to serve the entire complex, which will be separated from the adjacent courthouse and residential zone.
A committee from the Administrative Centers Authority has been tasked with receiving the project file from the Housing and Utilities Projects Authority this week, as preparations continue to initiate contracting procedures.
The municipality also plans to address administrative space shortages by completing this complex and finalising the renovation of the covered Jendouba market, recently allocated to Asabaa. The market is being divided into six key service departments that directly serve residents
