Head of Libya’s Presidential Council, Mohamed al-Menfi, received French Special Envoy Paul Soler on Sunday at the council’s headquarters in Tripoli, for talks focused on Libya’s evolving political landscape.
At the outset of the meeting, Soler conveyed greetings from French President Emmanuel Macron and praised al-Menfi’s role in steering Libya through its transitional phase and maintaining political and security balance.
The two sides reviewed current developments and discussed the UN Support Mission’s roadmap for Libya’s political transition. They emphasized the importance of close coordination with national institutions to ensure the plan’s success and foster broad national consensus.
Both officials underscored the need to strengthen bilateral ties between Libya and France and enhance joint cooperation on issues of mutual concern
