Chief of Staff of the Army in Libya’s western region, General Mohamed al-Haddad, received Turkish Ambassador to Libya, Kenan Yilmaz, along with Rear Admiral Hüseyin Tığlı, Commander of the Turkish warship TCG Kınalıada, and their accompanying delegation. The meeting was also attended by the Deputy Chief of Staff and the Chief of Naval Staff.
The visit coincided with the arrival of the Turkish vessel TCG Kınalıada at Tripoli Port to carry out joint training missions with the Libyan Navy.
Discussions focused on prospects for military cooperation between the two sides, particularly in training, with the possibility of expanding collaboration to include naval, air, and air defense forces.
On the sidelines of the visit, a luncheon was held aboard Kınalıada in honor of the Turkish Navy, followed by a dinner in the evening aboard the Libyan vessel Ibn Ouf, hosted for the Chief of Staff and attended by the Director of the Minister of Defense’s office.
