Benghazi hosted the closing ceremony of the Akaram Friendly Show Jumping Tournament, held from August 19 to 21, with prominent attendance including Field Marshal Khalifa Haftar and Prime Minister Osama Hamad, alongside ambassadors, consuls, and senior civil and military officials.
The event took place at Akaram Stables and featured a broad lineup of local and international riders, judged by certified international referees. Organizers hailed the tournament as a milestone for equestrian sports in Libya, reinforcing show jumping as a national discipline.
They expressed hope that its success would pave the way for future competitions, invigorating the equestrian scene and encouraging youth participation across the country.
