The National Human Rights institution has highlighted the fear on the faces of children as they watch heavily armed military convoys pass through the south of the capital, Tripoli.
The institution explained that these military movements, which began last Thursday and are coming from several cities and regions, indicate what appears to be a new military escalation after a period of calm, in the absence of any comprehensive agreement to end the spectre of war.
It confirmed that as the pace of preparations for fighting increases, Tripoli’s residents are living in a state of fear, concerned that densely populated neighbourhoods could turn into an open battlefield.
