Al-Baour Discusses Reducing Number of Foreign Envoys and Rationalizing Spending

On Monday, the second meeting of the committee tasked with studying the reduction of the number of envoys working in Libyan embassies, consulates, and missions abroad. It was held at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation in implementation of a decision by the Prime Minister.
The meeting was attended by Al-Taher Al-Baour, the Acting Minister of Foreign Affairs, along with the committee’s head, Dr. Muftah Al-Teeh, and representatives from relevant departments. Members from the Audit Bureau, the Administrative Control Authority. The Prime Minister’s Office was also represented.
The attendees reviewed the committee’s latest work, emphasizing the importance of quickly preparing a proposal that contributes to rationalizing government spending and improving consular and diplomatic services to meet the aspirations of the Libyan people.
