Turkish Airlines has resumed its flights to Misrata International Airport after a 10-year suspension. This step is a result of recent government talks between the two sides, aimed at developing the air transport sector, facilitating passenger movement, and stimulating economic and tourism activity between the two countries.
The Minister of Transport of the Government of National Unity, Mohamed Al-Shahoubi, received the first flight from Turkey today, Tuesday. The flights have been scheduled to operate three times a week.
