Egyptian General Intelligence Service (GIS) Director, Lieutenant General Hassan Rashad, met with his Turkish counterpart, İbrahim Kalın, in Cairo on Thursday to discuss the latest regional and international developments, with particular attention to the situations in Sudan and Libya.
According to the Cairo News Channel, both sides agreed on the urgent need to end the war in Gaza, endorsing the latest proposal put forward by international mediators.
This meeting follows a joint visit by the heads of Egyptian and Turkish intelligence to Benghazi last week, where they held talks with the General Commander of the Libyan Armed Forces, Field Marshal Khalifa Haftar, and his deputy, Colonel General Saddam Khalifa Haftar.
