Vice President of the Presidential Council, Mousa Al-Koni, held a meeting on Thursday in Tripoli with the Ambassador of the State of Qatar to Libya, Dr. Khalid Mohammed bin Zabin Al-Dosari, to discuss the latest political developments in the country.
During the meeting, the Qatari ambassador reaffirmed his country’s continued support for the Council’s efforts to promote stability and create a conducive environment for de-escalation in the capital.
The two sides reviewed the current political deadlock and ongoing efforts to resolve it, paving the way for free and fair elections that all political parties can accept.
Al-Koni emphasized that the Presidential Council remains in active dialogue with all Libyan stakeholders to bridge differences and reach a comprehensive political settlement, ultimately enabling the electoral process and advancing the national reconciliation project.
