Mohamed Tekala, President of the High Council of State, received the delegation of the “Omar Al-Mukhtar” convoy at the Council’s headquarters in Tripoli, accompanied by First Deputy Hassan Habib and Second Deputy Moussa Faraj. The convoy is set to join an international fleet of over fifty ships and vessels from European and Maghreb countries, aiming to break the blockade on Gaza.
The delegation included Arab and foreign activists, notably British activists Yvonne Ridley and Margaret Scotland, alongside Libyan activists Mohamed Al-Haddad, Kamal Al-Shami, and Nabil Al-Soukni.
During the meeting, the President and his deputy presented the “Steadfastness Shield” to the convoy as a gesture of solidarity and support, expressing their hopes that the mission will succeed in reaching its goal of supporting the resilience of the Palestinian people affected by the blockade
