Kufra’s Health Emergency Unit has raised its state of readiness in response to alarming international reports indicating a sharp rise in cholera cases and fatalities in Sudan.
Hafez Faraj, head of the emergency unit, confirmed that technical teams are undergoing training and rapid response units are being mobilized to address any potential outbreak. The initiative aims to enhance medical preparedness and minimize the risk of cross-border transmission into Libya.
