The Libyan Authority for Heritage and Wildlife announced that General Staff Deputy Commander, Lieutenant General Saddam Khalifa Haftar, has issued directives to suspend all decisions banning the sale or export of falcons and other birds of prey outside Libya.
In a statement posted on its official page, the authority emphasized that this move reflects Haftar’s commitment to preserving cultural heritage and traditional sports, while also addressing the concerns of hunters and enthusiasts across the country.
The decision was described as a direct response to demands from the hunting community and is seen as a practical step toward regulating hunting activities and safeguarding Libya’s identity.
