In Brazzaville, UN Special Representative for Libya Hanna Tetteh met with Congolese President Denis Sassou Nguesso to review the latest political and security developments in Libya and to discuss mechanisms for implementing the roadmap she presented to the UN Security Council on August 21.
According to a statement from the UN Mission, the talks focused on strengthening cooperation between the United Nations and the African Union to advance a comprehensive national reconciliation process, with victims’ rights placed at the core of structured dialogue.
Tetteh expressed her appreciation to President Sassou Nguesso in his capacity as Chair of the AU High‑Level Committee on Libya, highlighting his commitment to working with the UN Mission and all Libyan stakeholders to ensure the success of reconciliation efforts.
